Pharmacist in Ventura, CA

A pharmacist position is available at a medical center in Ventura County, specializing in inpatient care. This contract role offers an opportunity to utilize your pharmacy skills in a dynamic hospital environment, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Schedule and Location:

• Full-time hours with mainly four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable shifts including swing shifts, some weekends, and select holidays
• Located in Ventura, CA

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and review medication orders accurately within the inpatient pharmacy setting
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe medication use
• Monitor patient responses and provide pharmaceutical care recommendations
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license required
• Experience working in a hospital environment preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner system is an advantage; training is available if needed
• Strong communication and clinical skills to work well in a hospital team

This role starts as soon as possible and is projected for approximately 3 to 6 months, with the possibility to convert to a full-time permanent role. Candidates should be prepared for flexible scheduling in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
