Provide pharmaceutical care as a licensed pharmacist within a 40-bed community hospital and Level IV trauma center located in Vernal, UT. This contract opportunity offers a structured schedule and the ability to make a meaningful impact on patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians daily to maintain smooth pharmacy operations.
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles in patient medication management.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to optimize drug therapy.
- Support inpatient pharmacy services by maintaining compliance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in clinical consultations to improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current Utah pharmacist license required.
- Approximately 1 year of recent inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and medication management.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to work a schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (6:00 am to 4:30 pm).
Location:
- Vernal, Utah – a community-focused setting within a Level IV trauma center.
Additional Details:
- Schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts per week.
- Start Date: Immediate availability preferred.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks or longer, with potential for transition to temp-to-hire.
