Pharmacist in Vestal, NY

An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in Binghamton, NY. This role offers a dynamic environment collaborating with management to maintain inventory, provide exceptional patient care, and support pharmacy staff. Both temporary and permanent placements are considered, with an ASAP start date.

• Retail pharmacy Schedule:
• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to monitor and control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet patient needs and optimize profitability.
• Accurately weigh, measure, and mix medications and compounds; fill prescriptions with the correct dosage and composition; dispense over-the-counter medications; and advise patients on self-medication when appropriate.
• Administer patient immunizations on a regular basis, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• In the absence of the Pharmacy Manager, oversee scheduling of pharmacy associates, recognize performance, handle disciplinary actions as needed, and assign work to maximize team effectiveness and achieve business goals.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Active New York State Pharmacist License
• Current New York Immunization License preferred
• Availability to start immediately
