A short-term opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a smaller critical access hospital located approximately 1.5 hours south of Louisville. This per diem position spans from October 12th to October 16th, offering a chance to apply clinical expertise in a focused hospital setting.
Facility Overview:
- 25-bed critical access hospital with an 18-bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
- Utilizes Cerner electronic medical records and MedDispense for medication management
Schedule:
- October 12th to October 16th
- Shift hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- No on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform medication order verifications with accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate actively with physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care
- Manage pharmacy operations within a critical care and skilled nursing environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Kentucky Pharmacist license
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration
- Familiarity with Cerner and automated dispensing systems is a plus
