An opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to support a hospital setting in Virginia Beach, VA. This 13-week contract role requires a candidate with a valid Virginia pharmacist license to provide critical overnight pharmacy services in a fast-paced inpatient environment.

Schedule & Location:

• Overnight shifts: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Friday–Sunday, 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work pattern: 7 nights on, 7 nights off
• Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and process medication orders
• Manage IV medications, pain-controlled analgesia, and antibiotics
• Identify potential drug interactions and intervene appropriately
• Administer chemo, anticoagulants, and pharmacokinetic dosing as applicable
• Perform renal dosing adjustments when necessary
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and order entry

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Must hold a valid Virginia pharmacist license at time of application
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system (required)
• Experience with IV medications, pain management, antibiotics, and drug interactions
• Preferred background includes chemo experience, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic/renal dosing
• Travel pharmacy experience is a plus
