An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to support a busy medical center in Virginia Beach, VA. This contract role is a perfect fit for candidates with solid inpatient pharmacy skills and a valid Virginia pharmacist license ready at submission.

Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Schedule:

• Overnight shifts (2030–0730 Mon–Thurs)
• Overnight shifts (1930–0730 Fri–Sun)
• Work pattern: 7 nights on, 7 nights off

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately
• Manage intravenous (IV) medications and pain-controlled analgesia protocols
• Monitor antibiotic use and assess drug interactions
• Use electronic medical record systems (EPIC required) for charting and order entry
• Apply pharmacokinetic and renal dosing principles (preferred)
• Handle chemotherapy protocols and anticoagulant medications (preferred)

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Must hold a current Virginia pharmacist license at the time of application
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient pharmacy experience is required
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records (mandatory)
• Familiarity with IV therapy, antibiotics, and order verification
• Preferred experience with chemotherapy dosing, anticoagulation management, and pharmacokinetic dosing
• Travel pharmacy experience is a plus
