A dynamic opportunity is available for an inpatient pharmacist to support patient care at a medical center in Virginia Beach, VA. This 13-week contract position offers a chance to apply your expertise in a fast-paced hospital setting with a variety of rotating shifts designed to fit multiple scheduling needs.

Schedule / Hours:

• Rotating shifts
• Day shifts: 0630 – 1500, 0730 – 1600, 0900 – 1730, 1000 – 1830
• Evening shifts: 1300 – 2130, 1430 – 2300
• Overnight shifts: 1930 – 0730, 2030 – 0730

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and process medication orders
• Manage and monitor pain control analgesia, antibiotics, and drug interactions
• Provide dosage adjustments including pharmacokinetic and renal dosing
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on anticoagulants and chemotherapy medication administration
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records effectively for charting and order entry

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active Virginia pharmacist license required at application submission
• Minimum of 1 year inpatient pharmacy experience; travel experience is a plus
• Strong experience with IV medications, pain management, antibiotics, and order entry
• Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols, anticoagulation, and advanced dosing preferred
• Proficient with EPIC EMR system (required)
