Travel Pharmacist | Waipahu, Hawaii

A clinical hospital pharmacist opportunity is available in Honolulu, HI, for an experienced professional interested in a 16-week travel assignment. This role offers a dynamic schedule with day and evening shifts, providing exposure to a range of patient care scenarios in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Rotates between day shifts (5 shifts of 8 hours each) and evening shifts (4 shifts of 10 hours each)
• Day shifts: 06:30-15:00 or 08:30-17:00
• Evening shifts: 11:00-21:30 or 12:30-23:00

Key Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with medical teams during patient rounds
• Monitoring and optimizing patient drug therapy
• Utilizing pharmacokinetic dosing principles
• Providing patient counseling and education
• Managing unit dose and IV pharmacy services

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a clinical hospital pharmacist
• Preferable experience in rounding with medical teams and patient drug therapy monitoring
• Proficiency in pharmacokinetic dosing and medication counseling
• Experience with unit dose and IV services is an asset
• Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Pharmacist
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree preferred
• Post-graduate clinical residency accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists is preferred
