A 9-week contract opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist in Warner Robins, GA. This role requires a licensed Georgia pharmacist ready to start immediately. Located approximately an hour south of Atlanta, this position offers weekday shifts with potential weekend rotations, ideal for candidates seeking a short-term assignment in the area.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM
  • Possible weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and usage patterns
  • Ensure legal supply and suitability of prescribed medications
  • Maintain confidential patient and pharmacy records
  • Advise patients on proper medication use, potential reactions, and answer related questions
  • Provide consultations on prescription and non-prescription drugs covering storage, dosage, side effects, and interactions
  • Deliver patient services including smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
  • Educate patients on handling medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions per protocols
  • Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks
  • Manage pharmaceutical and medical inventory levels
  • Identify drug-related issues and collaborate with healthcare providers

Qualifications:

  • Current, active Georgia pharmacist license
  • Willingness to train retail pharmacists is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
