Pharmacist in Warren, MI

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized clinical pharmacy services in infectious diseases, including medication order review and pharmacokinetic dosing adjustments.
• Lead or support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives to optimize antibiotic use and reduce resistance.
• Collaborate with physicians, microbiology, infection prevention, and nursing teams to manage complex infections and therapeutic drug monitoring.
• Educate healthcare professionals and pharmacy students through training, lectures, and precepting.
• Participate in clinical research, medication use evaluations, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and policy development.
• Oversee and mentor pharmacy staff, interns, and residents within the specialty.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and contribute to committee activities.

Desired Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree; completion of residency or fellowship preferred.
• 1-2 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a healthcare setting, with a preference for PGY2 infectious diseases training.
• Registered Pharmacist with Controlled Substance licensure in Michigan (to be obtained within 3 months of hire).
• Board certification in Infectious Diseases Pharmacy (BCIDP) preferred.
• Strong expertise in microbiology, pharmacokinetics, and antimicrobial stewardship.
