A 13-week travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 45-bed community hospital in Bakersfield, CA. This contract position offers the chance to work in an inpatient setting utilizing Cerner IT systems, providing critical pharmacy services within a supportive healthcare environment.

Schedule & Hours:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoon shifts starting at either 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM

Location:

• Bakersfield, CA area (with assignment site in a nearby community hospital)

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify inpatient medications accurately and efficiently
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner electronic health records for medication management and documentation
• Participate in patient care rounds and ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy protocols

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health systems preferred
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
