A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 45-bed community hospital near Bakersfield, CA, offering a dynamic environment to apply inpatient pharmacy skills. This contract position supports pharmacy operations utilizing Cerner IT systems, ensuring effective medication management and patient care.

Location:

• Wasco, CA (near Bakersfield)

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoon shifts
• Shift start times: 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Dispense and review medications in an inpatient setting
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner to maintain accurate medication records and support hospital pharmacy workflows
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Valid California Pharmacist license required
• 2-3 years of experience in inpatient pharmacy practice preferred
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy procedures and medication safety
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar pharmacy IT systems is a plus
