This role offers the opportunity to work as an Inpatient Pharmacist in a renowned children’s hospital pharmacy within a large, Level I Trauma Center facility known for excellence in patient care. Responsibilities:
- Provide expert pharmacy care in inpatient pediatric settings, including clinical and operational roles
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medication therapy for pediatric and women’s health patients
- Manage dispensing operations, including sterile processing and pharmacist-in-charge duties, as applicable
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to ensure accurate, safe medication administration and inventory control
- Adapt to varying departmental needs, working shifts on a 5x8 schedule covering day and evening shifts
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience or 2-3 years for those without PGY1 residency training
- Active Connecticut pharmacist license
- Experience with children’s and women’s health pharmacy preferred but not mandatory
- Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
- Strong clinical judgment and operational skills to support multiple pharmacy functions
Location: Waterbury, CT
Schedule:
- 5x8 shifts, days and evenings depending on department requirements
