This opportunity is for inpatient pharmacists with at least 2 years of recent hospital experience, specializing in acute care settings. The role requires expertise in pharmacokinetic and renal dosing, therapeutic medication monitoring, drug shortage management, and pharmacotherapy management for a variety of medical conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working within an EPIC electronic medical record system.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics, renal dosing, and therapeutic drug monitoring
- Experience managing drug shortages and pharmacotherapy for complex medical problems
- Familiarity with hospital inpatient pharmacy workflows and acute care practices
- Valid pharmacy license for Wisconsin; ACT-10 license accepted
Location:
- Waunakee, WI (Madison area)
Schedule/Shift Details:
- Start date: June 8
- 13-week contract
- Rotating 8-hour shifts, including days (6:30 AM–3:00 PM) and evenings (2:30 PM–11:00 PM)
- Working five days a week with rotation every third weekend
Responsibilities:
- Provide pharmaceutical care to hospitalized patients
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapies
- Perform dosing adjustments based on pharmacokinetic and renal function data
- Monitor therapeutic drug levels and manage drug shortages effectively
Additional Requirements:
- Must shave for mask fit testing; use of CAPRs or PAPRs is not permitted
- Scrubs provided on the first day of assignment
This is a contract assignment for travelers willing to work in the Waunakee area. Candidates residing within 70 miles of the location are not eligible.
