Pharmacist - Waynesboro, VA

A pharmacist opportunity is available at a 200-bed community hospital in Southwest Virginia. This contract role offers the chance to contribute to patient care in a hospital setting while working a flexible schedule with varied shifts. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends for 13 weeks or longer.

Responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow
• Consulting and collaborating with physicians and nurses on medication therapies
• Utilizing pharmacy technology systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A valid Virginia pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Ability to adapt to variable shift scheduling, including days and afternoons with 8- to 10-hour shifts
