Pharmacist | Weed, California

A retail pharmacy located in Weed, CA is seeking a full-time Pharmacist to manage high-volume prescription dispensing and ensure excellent patient care. This contract position offers consistent Monday through Friday hours, from 9 AM to 6 PM, supporting an experienced pharmacy team through a period of increased demand.

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a busy retail environment
• Process 400–500 prescriptions per day while maintaining attention to detail
• Counsel patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and interactions
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve issues
• Utilize PioneerRx software to manage prescription processing and patient records
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practice

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license
• Recent experience as a retail pharmacist, preferably in a high-volume setting
• Comfortable working with PioneerRx or willing to quickly adapt to new software
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to handle fast-paced environments while maintaining quality and accuracy
