Seeking qualified inpatient pharmacists for critical day and evening shift opportunities in Philadelphia, PA. This contract position offers flexibility for full-time, contract, or temp-to-hire arrangements and welcomes both local candidates and travelers willing to relocate or travel.

Position Overview: As an inpatient pharmacist, you will be responsible for the accurate review and dispensing of medication orders, ensuring safe and effective medication therapy. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, contributing to medication safety initiatives, clinical reviews, and discharge planning to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness, including drug choice, dosage, frequency, and route of administration
  • Evaluate patient allergies, medical history, potential drug interactions, and laboratory results prior to dispensing medications
  • Dispense medications in strict compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
  • Provide drug information and clinical support to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and students to maintain safe medication preparation practices
  • Support inventory control and medication supply management
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care transitions and discharge medication planning

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
  • Minimum one year hospital pharmacy experience; APPE experience in clinical or hospital setting preferred
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required
  • BLS certification preferred
