Pharmacist - West Chester, PA

This opportunity is for a pharmacist to support a specialty compounding pharmacy with a 13-week contract-to-hire engagement. The role centers on ensuring excellent pharmaceutical care while overseeing shift operations and fulfillment personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Manage fulfillment personnel and daily operations during assigned shifts.
• Participate in the shipping and handling of prescription orders as needed.
• Ensure prescription orders comply with prescriber and patient specifications.
• Maintain accurate preparation, documentation, and adherence to legal regulations for all dispensed pharmaceutical products.
• Assess patient demographics and medication histories to optimize care.
• Develop comprehensive patient care plans focused on therapeutic outcomes.
• Educate and counsel patients on drug therapy, including dosage, regimen, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplication.
• Monitor drug therapy for appropriateness and safety.
• Provide guidance on both prescription and over-the-counter medications, including nutritional supplements.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid PA Pharmacist license.
• Minimum of 2 years of retail pharmacy experience.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday.
• 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM.
