A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy in Westerville, OH, is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join their expanding Control Room operations. This opportunity offers a direct hire position with a schedule designed to support work-life balance, including a Monday through Friday shift from 4 PM to 12:30 AM with every other weekend off.

Location: Westerville, OH
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 4 PM – 12:30 AM
  • Every other weekend

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage controlled substances, including narcotics, ensuring compliance with legal and safety requirements.
  • Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare facility staff to recommend therapy changes as needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient databases encompassing medical history, clinical, and laboratory data.
  • Address and resolve medication-related inquiries effectively.
  • Oversee the preparation of medications and ensure strict security measures for storage and handling.
  • Maintain accurate registers of controlled substances for stock and legal control.
  • Perform on-call duties as required to support the pharmacy’s operations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ohio Pharmacist license in-hand is mandatory.
  • Experience working with controlled drugs (narcotics) is essential.
  • Proficient in medication order evaluation and clinical decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare teams.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, preferably Frameworks.
