Pharmacist - Westerville, Ohio

A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy in Ohio is seeking four dedicated Staff Pharmacists to join their expanding operation. This direct hire opportunity offers flexible second and overnight shift schedules tailored to accommodate various lifestyles, all while serving a critical role in ensuring optimal medication management for long-term care patients.

Location: Westerville, OH

Schedule Options:

• Four 10-hour shifts every other weekend, with shift options:
  • 4:00 pm – 2:30 am
  • 6:00 pm – 4:30 am
  • 8:00 pm – 6:30 am
• Alternate 7-on/7-off schedule (Monday–Sunday every other week):
  • 4:00 pm – 2:30 am
  • 6:00 pm – 4:30 am
  • 8:30 pm – 7:00 am

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, accuracy, interactions, and proper administration
• Ensure correct dispensing and labeling of medicines
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare teams about medication-related inquiries
• Supervise preparation of medications
• Recommend therapy modifications when needed to physicians and client facility staff
• Investigate and resolve medication-related concerns
• Maintain detailed patient records including medical history and clinical data

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Ohio Pharmacist license (required)
• Experience with long-term care pharmacy operations preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Familiarity with Frameworks pharmacy system is a plus
