A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy in Westerville, OH, is seeking four Direct Hire Pharmacists to join their expanding operations. This opportunity involves working with a specialized pharmacy serving long-term care facilities, providing critical medication management and consultation to healthcare teams. Licensed Ohio pharmacists ready to contribute to quality patient care are encouraged to apply.

Location: Westerville, OH
Job Type: Direct Hire
Start Date: ASAP

Schedule Options:

  • Four 10-hour shifts, every other weekend:
    • 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
    • 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM
    • 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Monday through Sunday, every other week 7-on/7-off:
    • 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
    • 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM
    • 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medication orders for accuracy, dosage appropriateness, drug interactions, and proper administration.
  • Ensure correct labeling and dispensing of medications.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare teams to resolve medication-related questions.
  • Oversee medication preparation processes.
  • Provide therapy change recommendations to physicians and facility staff when necessary.
  • Investigate and resolve medication inquiries.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records including medical and laboratory data.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current and valid Ohio Pharmacist License (must have license in hand)
  • Experience with long-term care pharmacy operations preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Familiarity with Frameworks system is a plus
