A relief pharmacist opportunity is available in a small town on the Washington/Oregon border, providing essential pharmacy services in a hospital setting. This contract role offers the chance to work with a supportive team, focusing on patient care during scheduled coverage days.

Location:

• Small town on the WA/OR border (White Salmon, WA)

Schedule:

• Coverage dates: July 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 30, 31; August 6, 7, 14, 15, 20, 21, 24, 25; Fridays in September
• Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• No on-call responsibilities
• Pharmacy technician coverage provided during shifts

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a hospital environment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize hospital IT systems including Cerner and Pyxis
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in a brief training period prior to coverage dates to become familiar with protocols

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital pharmacy experience required
• Valid pharmacist licensure for Washington state
• Proficiency with hospital IT systems, especially Cerner and Pyxis
• Strong attention to detail and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work independently during relief shifts
