Pharmacist - Whittier, California

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist specializing in oncology to join a well-established hospital setting located just east of Downtown Los Angeles. This role is centered in a 400-bed hospital's Outpatient Infusion and Cancer Center, providing direct patient care and working closely alongside oncologists.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Verifying medication orders with precision and attention to detail
• Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth operations
• Consulting regularly with physicians and nursing staff to optimize cancer therapies
• Collaborating closely with oncologists to customize treatment plans for patients
• Utilizing the Allscripts electronic health record system effectively

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current and active California Pharmacist License
• Completion of PGYII residency or approximately 3+ years of experience in a cancer center pharmacy
• Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) is preferred and highly regarded
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of oncology pharmacotherapy
