Join a healthcare team seeking a full-time Night Shift Pharmacist to support critical pharmacy operations starting Monday night, 5/11. This position covers an essential role during an emergency situation where the California Department of Public Health requires a pharmacist presence on the night shift. The assignment is expected to last at least 8 weeks with possible ongoing opportunities.

Location: Whittier, CA
Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday
• 8-hour night shifts with some flexibility

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and promptly
• Oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to provide clinical pharmacy consultation
• Manage pharmacokinetic monitoring and related clinical duties
• Utilize the Paragon/Allscripts order entry system
• Operate and manage Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist licensure required
• Open to new graduates and those with retail pharmacy experience
• Must meet compliance requirements to enable rapid onboarding
• Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing systems is highly beneficial
• Ability to work effectively in a high-demand, fast-paced environment
