This opportunity is for a Pharmacist position within a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Rehabilitation hospital setting located in downtown Los Angeles, near Dodger Stadium. The facility serves a high-acuity patient population, including many ventilator-dependent individuals, requiring expert pharmaceutical care and collaboration with the medical team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform order verification to ensure accurate medication dispensing
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians in daily operations
- Consult with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding pharmacokinetics and medication management
- Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust medications as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current California Pharmacist license
- Experience working in an inpatient hospital environment, preferably in LTAC or rehab settings
- Strong knowledge of ventilator patient care pharmacotherapy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Local candidates preferred for timely start and easy commuting
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Thursday, 4 shifts per week, 10-hour day shifts
- Downtown Los Angeles near Dodger Stadium, a dynamic urban setting with easy access to public transportation
Contract Details:
- Contract position with month-to-month duration
- Immediate start available, with the ideal candidate beginning the week of June 1
