A Pharmacist role is available in a busy LTAC/Rehab hospital setting located in downtown Los Angeles, just steps from Dodger Stadium. This position offers a chance to work with a patient population requiring complex care, including many on ventilators.
The role involves critical responsibilities such as order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians, and managing pharmacokinetics within an inpatient environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills and experience, ensuring safe and effective medication use in this specialized setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and support the pharmacy technician team
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare providers for optimal pharmacotherapy
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles in patient care decisions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current California pharmacist license in good standing
- Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in a rehabilitative or LTAC hospital setting
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Local candidates preferred for immediate start availability
Schedule and Duration:
- Four 10-hour day shifts per week, providing a balanced workweek
- Month-to-month contract with the possibility to extend
- Start date available immediately, with the goal to begin the week of 6/1
