Oncology Pharmacist

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to join a collaborative outpatient cancer center team within a large, established acute care hospital. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with oncologists and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered oncology care in a supportive and specialized environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify chemotherapy and supportive care medication orders
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, nurses, and clinical staff on treatment plans
• Ensure safe and effective medication use in oncology patients
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
• Provide drug information and clinical guidance to healthcare providers
• Participate in patient safety and quality initiatives
• Maintain compliance with oncology protocols and regulatory standards

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Day shift hours
• Outpatient infusion / cancer center setting

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of recent oncology pharmacy experience in a cancer center or infusion setting OR
• Completion of PGY2 Oncology Residency
• Strong background in chemotherapy verification and oncology protocols

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent
• Active California Pharmacist License (required)

Additional Qualifications

• BCOP (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) preferred
• Experience with Allscripts or similar pharmacy systems
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Compensation

• Pay Range: $65.50 – $103.00/hour
