Oversee the operations of a retail pharmacy department as a Pharmacy Manager in Altoona, PA. This permanent position involves leading a team of pharmacists and associates to ensure efficient, compliant, and customer-focused pharmacy services. The role requires effective collaboration with store operations and active management of pharmacy inventory and performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a collaborative partnership with store operations and communicate company strategies to pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure prescription accuracy and regulatory compliance by completing Drug Utilization Reviews and final quality checks.
  • Drive business growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Manage inventory control by tracking sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet demand.
  • Align departmental objectives with key performance metrics to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, addressing medical concerns and counseling.
  • Supervise and manage pharmacy associates including training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Maintain pharmacy security and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Resolve customer issues to build trust and loyalty.
  • Liaise with physicians and use professional resources to resolve prescription-related issues.
  • Maintain department cleanliness and order.
  • Prioritize and complete essential pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-call follow-ups.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License

Location: Altoona, PA
Schedule: Variable day and afternoon shifts, 36 hours per week
