Lead the daily operations of a busy retail pharmacy department as a Pharmacy Manager in Altoona, PA. This direct hire role offers a 36-hour workweek with variable day and afternoon shifts, providing a dynamic and flexible schedule. The position requires a proactive leader to drive pharmacy business growth, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a collaborative environment with store operations and pharmacy associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store operations teams to enhance associate engagement and communicate pharmacy and company strategies.
- Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance.
- Drive pharmacy profitability and script growth by implementing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
- Oversee inventory control in collaboration with the District Manager, tracking sales and managing pharmaceutical stock.
- Align pharmacy department goals with key performance metrics to optimize effectiveness and efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing medical inquiries, counseling patients, and managing customer concerns.
- Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, directing training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain department security, cleanliness, and orderliness.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve prescription issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prioritize and complete essential pharmacy tasks including cycle counts, inventory management, and customer will-calls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
- Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
- Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
