Location: Willimantic, CT
Schedule/Hours:
- 24 to 30 hours per week
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5 PM or 8:30 AM – 7 PM
- Saturday: 8 AM – 5 PM
- Sunday: 8 AM – 1 PM
- Weekend rotation approximately every 4th week
Responsibilities:
- Dispense and verify prescriptions accurately in both retail and long-term care environments
- Utilize pharmacy computer systems (Liberty for retail and Frameworks for LTC) to manage patient profiles and medication records
- Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and storage
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal medication therapy
- Maintain compliance with state pharmacy laws and regulations
- Participate in inventory management and quality assurance activities
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut pharmacy license required
- Proven experience in retail pharmacy essential
- Experience in long-term care pharmacy is a strong plus
- Familiarity with Liberty and Frameworks pharmacy software beneficial
- Strong communication and organizational skills
