A travel pharmacist opportunity is available in Vermont with a community hospital affiliated with a major health network. This role supports a 100-bed facility with a focus on comprehensive pharmaceutical care. Candidates with strong IV experience and at least five years of pharmacy practice are encouraged to apply. Location:
- Berlin, Vermont
- 100-bed community hospital within a university-affiliated health network
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Shift options include 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Perform medication reconciliation accurately and efficiently
- Verify medication orders for inpatient care
- Manage vancomycin dosing protocols and monitor related laboratory tests
- Adjust medications based on renal function and other patient parameters
- Apply strong IV pharmacy skills in daily tasks
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in intravenous medication management
- Current Vermont pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a provisional license immediately, with commitment to securing permanent licensure
- Demonstrated clinical skills with dosing adjustments, especially for antibiotics and renal dosing
This assignment is expected to last 4 to 6 months with an ASAP start date. Pharmacists willing to obtain Vermont licensure are particularly valued. This travel role offers the chance to work in a respected health network while gaining experience in an engaging hospital environment.
