We are seeking a Pharmacist for a specialty pharmacy opportunity in North Carolina. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to work in a pharmacy environment that specializes in sterile and non-sterile compounding, with the potential for direct hire following the initial contract period.

Position Details

13-week contract assignment
Opportunity for direct hire
Specialty retail pharmacy setting
Sterile and non-sterile compounding environment
Monday through Friday
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
One-hour lunch break

Responsibilities

Verify and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
Support sterile and non-sterile compounding operations
Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance
Counsel patients regarding medication use, side effects, and treatment plans
Collaborate with prescribers and healthcare providers as needed
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Assist with inventory management and medication procurement
Ensure quality assurance and patient safety standards are met
Support daily pharmacy workflow and operational efficiency
Utilize pharmacy software systems for order entry and prescription processing

Required Qualifications

Active North Carolina Pharmacist License
Minimum of 1-2 years of pharmacist experience
Sterile compounding experience
Non-sterile compounding experience
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a pharmacy team
Commitment to maintaining regulatory compliance and patient safety

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a specialty pharmacy setting
Familiarity with pharmacy management systems similar to QS1
Experience with prescription verification and compounding quality assurance
