A specialized opportunity is available for a pharmacist with pediatric experience to serve at a children’s hospital. This contract position offers a night shift schedule with potential transition to day shift later in the assignment. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmacy services during the night shift, from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Manage medication dispensing and patient counseling in an inpatient pediatric setting
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for accurate documentation and medication management
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective pharmacological care
• Prepare for potential transition to day shift coverage starting July/August through mid-January

Qualifications:

• Active Texas pharmacist license required
• Hands-on experience with pediatric pharmacy preferred
• Proficient in EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Solid inpatient pharmacy experience with knowledge of pediatric medication protocols
• Ability to work independently during night shifts

Schedule:

• 7 days on, 7 days off schedule
• Night shift from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM initially
• Transitioning to day shift coverage later in the year (July/August)
