Pharmacist in Wolfforth, TX

A pharmacy pharmacist position is available for a contract assignment in Wolfforth, TX, supporting a children's hospital. This opportunity provides the chance to contribute to pediatric inpatient care while working with advanced pharmacy technologies such as EPIC and Pyxis. The role starts immediately and runs for six months, with the possibility of transitioning to a day shift later in the assignment.

Location: Wolfforth, TX
Job Type: Contract (6 months)
Schedule/Hours:

• Night shift: 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off
• Transition to day shift expected around July/August (to cover FMLA through 01/13/2027)

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients in an inpatient setting
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and Pyxis for medication dispensing
• Ensure accuracy in medication preparation and administration
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pediatric medication therapy
• Monitor patient response and report any adverse drug reactions

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Texas
• Pediatric inpatient pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication systems
• Strong clinical knowledge relevant to pediatric populations
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and adapt to schedule changes
