This per diem pharmacist opportunity in Woodbridge, VA, supports a nursing home serving approximately 50 residents. The role is focused on ensuring accurate and timely medication dispensing through script verification. This position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, with specific coverage dates available for vacation relief.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety
- Collaborate with nursing home staff to manage medication orders
- Utilize Point Click Care computer system for documentation and workflow
- Support pharmacy technicians (2 on-site) in medication distribution processes
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year recent pharmacy experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
- Active and clear Virginia pharmacist license
- Familiarity with Point Click Care or similar healthcare software
