An urgent opportunity is available for licensed pharmacists to support a recently transitioned long-term care and intellectual developmental disorder pharmacy undergoing a critical workflow catch-up. This contract role requires pharmacists to help manage high volume during a busy post-implementation phase, working collectively to stabilize operations.
Location: Worcester, MA
Contract Duration: Approximately 4 to 6 weeks, until workflow stabilizes
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (flexible opening and closing shifts)
- Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (weekend support encouraged)
Key Responsibilities:
- PV1 Pharmacists: Review and clear data entry, ensuring accuracy in patient and prescription information
- PV2 Pharmacists: Check and verify prescriptions, labels, and blister packs to ensure compliance and safety
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to expedite prescription processing under a newly implemented Frameworks system
- Adapt to fast-paced changes and maintain high standards during high-volume workflow
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts pharmacist license required
- Previous experience in long-term care preferred; retail pharmacist experience also considered
- Ability to quickly adapt to system changes and workflow demands
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, to meet urgent needs
