Pharmacist in Worcester, MA

An urgent opportunity is available for licensed pharmacists to support a recently transitioned long-term care and intellectual developmental disorder pharmacy undergoing a critical workflow catch-up. This contract role requires pharmacists to help manage high volume during a busy post-implementation phase, working collectively to stabilize operations.

Location: Worcester, MA
Contract Duration: Approximately 4 to 6 weeks, until workflow stabilizes
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM (flexible opening and closing shifts)
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (weekend support encouraged)

Key Responsibilities:

• PV1 Pharmacists: Review and clear data entry, ensuring accuracy in patient and prescription information
• PV2 Pharmacists: Check and verify prescriptions, labels, and blister packs to ensure compliance and safety
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to expedite prescription processing under a newly implemented Frameworks system
• Adapt to fast-paced changes and maintain high standards during high-volume workflow

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Active Massachusetts pharmacist license required
• Previous experience in long-term care preferred; retail pharmacist experience also considered
• Ability to quickly adapt to system changes and workflow demands
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, to meet urgent needs
