Pharmacist - York, Pennsylvania

A large 500-bed hospital in York, PA, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a contract position starting ASAP. This role offers a dynamic work environment with a variable days and afternoons schedule over an initial 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure workflow and compliance
• Consult with physicians on medication therapies and clinical needs
• Utilize pharmacokinetics knowledge to optimize patient outcomes
• Work with pharmacy IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis

Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong understanding of medication management in a hospital setting
• Ability to coordinate with healthcare professionals effectively
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
