Pharmacist - York, Pennsylvania

A leading 500-bed hospital in York, PA is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic inpatient setting with exposure to a broad range of pharmacy services and collaborative care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate order verification to ensure patient safety and compliance.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, providing guidance and support to optimize workflow.
• Consult with physicians and healthcare teams regarding medication therapy and patient care.
• Participate in pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring to tailor treatments effectively.
• Utilize IT systems including EPIC and Pyxis to manage medication distribution and documentation.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania pharmacist license.
• Approximately 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and hospital pharmacy operations.
• Ability to work variable days and afternoon shifts to meet department needs.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication automation systems.

• Variable days and afternoon shifts.
