Pharmacist in York, PA

This opportunity is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support a large 500-bed hospital in York, PA. The assignment begins ASAP and extends for 13 weeks or more on a contract basis. The role includes variable days and afternoon shifts, providing some scheduling flexibility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Verifying medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
• Supervising pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Consulting with physicians on medication therapies
• Applying pharmacokinetic principles for precise dosing
• Managing oncology and chemotherapy medication protocols

The ideal candidate holds a valid Pennsylvania pharmacist license with several years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience. Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records is required along with experience using Pyxis automated dispensing systems. Familiarity with oncology and chemotherapy medications is critical to successfully meet the needs of this clinical setting.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Active PA pharmacy license
• 2+ years of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Strong EPIC electronic medical record skills
• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Oncology and chemotherapy medication handling preferred
