Mail Order Pharmacy Clerk in Cave Creek, AZ

A growing mail-order pharmacy requires three Shipping Clerks to support timely prescription order fulfillment. This contract role is based in Scottsdale and demands reliable candidates who can manage a fast-paced, high-volume environment with accuracy and attention to detail. Candidates should carefully consider the commute as the site’s location is crucial for punctuality and smooth operations.

This role offers an opportunity to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., starting immediately for a 13-week term with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in labeling, packaging, and documentation.
• Package medications securely following pharmacy and shipping guidelines, including handling temperature-sensitive shipments.
• Process orders using established pharmacy and carrier shipping systems.
• Sort packages by carrier and shipping method, monitor shipping queues, and prioritize orders according to cutoff times.
• Coordinate with carriers to meet scheduled pickup deadlines.
• Identify and escalate any discrepancies, errors, or damaged packages before shipment.
• Maintain strict compliance with patient privacy policies (PHI) and workplace safety regulations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Prior experience in shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, healthcare, pharmacy, or mail-order environments preferred.
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, USPS, or similar carrier shipping systems.
• Ability to perform repetitive packaging and scanning tasks, lift packages up to 10 pounds, and work on feet throughout the shift.
• Candidates with a Tech in Training background are preferred; however, those with solid shipping or warehouse experience will also be considered.
• No professional license is required.
