Mail Order Pharmacy Clerk | Cave Creek, Arizona

A dynamic opportunity is available for Pharmacy Shipping Clerks to support a busy mail-order pharmacy operation. This contract role plays a crucial part in ensuring that prescription orders are accurately prepared, securely packaged, and shipped promptly to patients, maintaining high standards of quality and patient confidentiality.

Location: Cave Creek, AZ (Site in Scottsdale; candidate commute feasibility is essential.)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and package completed prescription orders for shipment with attention to accuracy and compliance.
• Verify correct shipping labels and documentation are matched to each order.
• Utilize pharmacy and carrier shipping systems for order processing.
• Sort packages according to carrier and shipping method, maintaining priority based on cutoff times.
• Coordinate carrier pickups and ensure timely dispatch.
• Identify and report damaged packages or shipping issues prior to shipment.
• Handle refrigerated or temperature-sensitive medications following proper protocols.
• Adhere to pharmacy policies regarding patient privacy and the management of protected health information.
• Maintain compliance with workplace safety and company standards.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• No formal license required; preference for Pharmacy Tech in Training or candidates with shipping, warehouse, mail-order, or healthcare experience.
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, USPS, or similar shipping platforms.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production or fulfillment environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to stand/walk for extended hours and perform repetitive tasks involving packaging, labeling, and lifting (up to 10 lbs).
