Mail Order Pharmacy Clerk | Fountain Hills, Arizona

A growing mail order pharmacy operation requires three Shipping Clerks to support the preparation and timely shipment of prescription orders. This role is critical to ensuring that medications are accurately labeled, securely packaged, and shipped promptly to patients. The site is located in Scottsdale, so candidates should consider commute feasibility.

This position offers a contract opportunity with a start date ASAP and lasts 13 weeks, with the potential to transition to a permanent role for reliable and high-performing individuals. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with pharmacy packaging standards
• Verify correct shipping labels and documentation correspondence to each order
• Package medications securely, including handling refrigerated or temperature-sensitive shipments when necessary
• Process shipments utilizing pharmacy and carrier shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS, or similar)
• Sort packages by carrier, shipping method, and pickup requirements
• Monitor shipping queues, prioritizing orders to meet carrier cutoff times
• Assist with carrier pickups and ensure shipments are ready for scheduled deadlines
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, damaged packages, or labeling errors proactively
• Maintain strict adherence to patient privacy and handling of protected health information (PHI)
• Follow all workplace safety and company policies

Qualifications:

• Shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, mail order, healthcare, or pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with shipping software and carrier systems
• Experience in a high-volume production or fulfillment environment advantageous
• Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks, including lifting packages up to 10 pounds
• No pharmacy license required; candidates with Tech in Training background preferred, or those with comparable shipping/warehouse experience
