A pharmacy shipping clerk position is available for a contract role based in Fountain Hills, AZ, supporting a high-volume mail order pharmacy operation in Scottsdale. This role plays a critical part in ensuring prescription orders are accurately prepared, securely packaged, and shipped on time to patients.

This fast-paced environment requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Working collaboratively with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and operations staff, the shipping clerk helps keep the fulfillment process running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, verifying accuracy of labels and documentation.
• Package medications securely, following pharmacy and shipping protocols.
• Process shipments using carrier and pharmacy shipping systems.
• Sort packages by carrier and prioritize orders based on shipping deadlines.
• Assist with carrier pickups ensuring timely dispatch.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, damaged packages, or labeling errors.
• Handle refrigerated or temperature-sensitive shipments with appropriate packaging.
• Adhere to pharmacy policies on patient privacy and workplace safety.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Previous experience in shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, pharmacy, healthcare, or mail-order environments preferred.
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, USPS, or comparable shipping systems.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, production-focused setting.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift packages up to 10 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• No pharmacist license required; candidates with Tech in Training status or shipping/warehouse experience are encouraged to apply.

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
