Mail Order Pharmacy Clerk | Phoenix, Arizona

An expanding mail order pharmacy requires three Shipping Clerks to support timely and accurate prescription order fulfillment. This position plays a vital role in preparing, packaging, and processing completed prescription shipments in a high-volume, fast-paced pharmacy environment. Reliable performance and attention to detail are key to keeping orders moving efficiently while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Location:

• Scottsdale area (vetting for commute distance is essential)
• Phoenix, AZ region

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Contract Details:

• Immediate start
• 13-week contract with possible contract-to-hire opportunity

Responsibilities:

• Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, verifying accuracy and correct labeling
• Securely package medications following pharmacy protocols and shipping requirements
• Process shipments using pharmacy and carrier shipping systems such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS
• Sort packages by carrier and shipping method, prioritizing orders per carrier deadlines
• Assist with carrier pickups and ensure readiness for scheduled shipments
• Identify and escalate damaged or incorrect shipments prior to dispatch
• Handle refrigerated or temperature-sensitive shipments properly as needed
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies on patient privacy and protected health information (PHI)
• Adhere to all company and workplace safety standards

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, pharmacy, healthcare, or mail-order environments
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, USPS shipping systems
• Background working in a high-volume production or fulfillment setting
• Tech in Training background preferred but not required; shipping or warehouse experience necessary if not a Tech in Training

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
• Capability to perform repetitive packaging, labeling, and scanning tasks
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing 5 to 10 pounds
• Capacity to bend, reach, push, pull, and execute repetitive hand motions during the workday
