Mail Order Pharmacy Clerk - Scottsdale, AZ

An established pharmacy shipping operation is seeking three detail-oriented shipping clerks to efficiently prepare and ship prescription orders within a high-volume mail-order environment. Located in Scottsdale, AZ, this contract opportunity is ideal for candidates with a background in pharmacy shipping, fulfillment, or warehousing, and those currently pursuing pharmacy technician training.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, ensuring packages are correctly labeled and securely packed.
• Use pharmacy and carrier shipping systems to process orders on time.
• Sort packages by carrier and shipping method, and coordinate with carriers to meet pickup deadlines.
• Monitor shipments for quality control, escalating any discrepancies, damaged packages, or labeling errors.
• Handle refrigerated and temperature-sensitive shipments following established protocols.
• Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality and all pharmacy and workplace safety policies.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience in shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, pharmacy, healthcare, or mail-order settings preferred.
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, USPS, or similar carrier systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
• Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods, perform repetitive packaging and scanning tasks, and lift up to 10 pounds.
• No licensure required; however, preference is given to "Tech in Training" candidates or those with relevant shipping/warehouse experience.

This position offers a 13-week contract with potential for contract-to-hire based on performance and reliability. Candidates must confirm ability to commute to the Scottsdale site prior to consideration.
