Mail Order Pharmacy Clerk - Tempe, Arizona

A growing mail-order pharmacy operation in the Scottsdale area seeks three Shipping Clerks to support prescription fulfillment and ensure timely delivery. This contract role offers a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment where accuracy and efficiency are paramount. Reliable performance may lead to contract-to-hire opportunities.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (commute vetting is important)
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks, possible contract to hire)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, verifying proper labels and documentation.
• Package medications securely in compliance with pharmacy procedures and shipping requirements.
• Process shipments using pharmacy and carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.).
• Sort packages by carrier and shipping method, prioritize orders based on cutoff times.
• Assist with carrier pickups to ensure packages are ready before scheduled deadlines.
• Identify and escalate any shipping discrepancies, damaged packages, or errors prior to shipment.
• Handle refrigerated or temperature-sensitive shipments with appropriate insulated packaging.
• Adhere to patient privacy policies and all workplace safety guidelines.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, pharmacy, healthcare, or mail-order settings preferred.
• Familiarity with carrier shipping systems and high-volume production environments.
• Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods and performing repetitive packaging and scanning tasks.
• Ability to lift and move packages weighing 5–10 pounds and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Must have a reliable commute to Scottsdale.
• Candidates with pharmacy training licenses ("Tech in Training") or relevant shipping/warehouse experience are encouraged to apply.
