Join a high-performing compounding pharmacy team where your clinical expertise and precision directly impact patient outcomes. This role offers a strong path to permanent placement and is open to both experienced pharmacists and motivated new grads with a passion for compounding.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense compounded medications (sterile and non-sterile) in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient-specific therapies
- Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines
- Maintain accurate patient records and oversee prescription processing
- Manage inventory, including compounding supplies and medications
- Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care
- Support training and supervision of pharmacy technicians
Work Hours
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday shifts scheduled between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Every third Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Experience
- 1–2 years of pharmacy experience preferred
- Open to new graduates with strong interest in compounding
- Experience with sterile and/or non-sterile compounding highly valued
- Familiarity with retail pharmacy workflows and prescription processing
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent required
- Active Pharmacist license in North Carolina required
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in compounding practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a moderate-volume environment (~78 compounded Rx/day)
- Comfortable learning new pharmacy systems (training provided for PK software)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
