Join a high-performing compounding pharmacy team where your clinical expertise and precision directly impact patient outcomes. This role offers a strong path to permanent placement and is open to both experienced pharmacists and motivated new grads with a passion for compounding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense compounded medications (sterile and non-sterile) in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to optimize patient-specific therapies
  • Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines
  • Maintain accurate patient records and oversee prescription processing
  • Manage inventory, including compounding supplies and medications
  • Provide patient counseling and pharmaceutical care
  • Support training and supervision of pharmacy technicians

Work Hours

  • Full-time: 40 hours per week
  • Monday–Friday shifts scheduled between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Every third Saturday: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Experience

  • 1–2 years of pharmacy experience preferred
  • Open to new graduates with strong interest in compounding
  • Experience with sterile and/or non-sterile compounding highly valued
  • Familiarity with retail pharmacy workflows and prescription processing

Education

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent required
  • Active Pharmacist license in North Carolina required

Additional Qualifications

  • Knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in compounding practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a moderate-volume environment (~78 compounded Rx/day)
  • Comfortable learning new pharmacy systems (training provided for PK software)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
