Lead the daily operations of a retail pharmacy as a Pharmacy Manager in Altoona, PA. This full-time, direct hire position offers the opportunity to manage a dynamic team in a well-established retail setting, focusing on providing exceptional pharmaceutical care and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with store operations to engage pharmacy associates while communicating company strategy.
  • Ensure prescription accuracy through comprehensive Drug Utilization Reviews and final quality assurance checks in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage inventory effectively by tracking sales trends and ordering stock to meet customer needs, maximizing department profitability.
  • Align team performance with key measurable metrics to optimize operational effectiveness.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing medical inquiries and providing healthcare counseling.
  • Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain department security and regulatory compliance.
  • Resolve customer concerns to build trust and loyalty.
  • Engage with healthcare providers to clarify prescription details and resolve any issues.
  • Oversee pharmacy cleanliness, organization, and ongoing staff development to enhance performance and reduce turnover.
  • Prioritize tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and processing will-call prescriptions efficiently.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree.
  • Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License.
  • Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
  • Proven leadership and management skills in a retail pharmacy environment.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and regulatory compliance.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 36 hours per week.
  • Variable day and afternoon shifts.
