An urgent opportunity is available for a Pharmacist serving as the working Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a newly established behavioral hospital. Location: Lynchburg, VA
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks+ with potential for temp-to-hire)
Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the working Pharmacist-in-Charge, overseeing pharmacy operations within the behavioral hospital.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and pharmacy standards.
• Manage medication distribution and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and inventory control.
• Lead and support pharmacy staff in daily functions and patient services.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license with eligibility to work in the state.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Manager or working PIC, preferably in behavioral health or hospital settings.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
