A Behavioral Hospital in Lynchburg, VA is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to serve as the working Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC). This opportunity involves managing pharmacy operations at a small but significant new hospital created through a joint venture between two leading healthcare organizations. The role offers an immediate start with a contract duration of 13 weeks, with potential for conversion to a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies.
• Serve as the working PIC, managing medication distribution and pharmacy staff activities.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to support behavioral health patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to pharmacy activities.
• Support medication safety protocols and quality assurance initiatives.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with credentials to practice in the state of Virginia.
• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Manager or working Pharmacist-in-Charge.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations within hospital or behavioral health settings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday during daytime hours.

• Monday through Friday, day shifts.
