Job Description
Soliant is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity at a 90-bed long-term acute care hospital. This leadership role offers the chance to oversee pharmacy operations while remaining clinically active in a collaborative inpatient setting. The ideal candidate brings both strong management experience and a commitment to quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy department operations, including staff scheduling and workflow management
- Supervise and support pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians
- Perform clinical and dispensing duties as a practicing pharmacist
- Develop and implement processes to ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance
- Lead performance improvement initiatives and optimize departmental workflows
- Serve as a resource for staff education, onboarding, and standard operating procedures
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance practices
- Ability to balance administrative and clinical responsibilities

Qualifications

Active California Pharmacist license
- Licensing assistance may be available if needed
- Prior pharmacy management or leadership experience required
Experience
- Previous inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience required
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role required
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent from an accredited institution
Work Hours
- Monday – Friday
- Day shifts
- 40 hours per week
Compensation
- $72+/hour
- Potential for higher rate based on experience
