An opportunity to lead pharmacy operations in a specialized animal health and compounding pharmacy environment is available. This full-time, onsite role in Bakersfield, CA, offers a chance to guide a team of pharmacists dedicated to producing high-quality compounded medications while ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists to meet productivity and quality goals
  • Oversee daily compounding workflows and pharmacy operations
  • Ensure adherence to USP <795>, <797>, and <800> compounding standards
  • Maintain accurate training records and facilitate ongoing pharmacist education
  • Support drug selection for both dispensing and compounded preparations
  • Identify process enhancements and collaborate with pharmacy leadership and other departments
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all relevant policies and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Current California pharmacist license in good standing
  • BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing pharmacy teams within a lab setting
  • 2–5 years of hands-on compounding experience
  • Strong knowledge of USP compounding standards, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
  • Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM

This role offers a rewarding base salary ranging from $160,000 to $185,000 plus performance-based bonuses, with eligibility for benefits.
