Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Bakersfield, California

An Interim Pharmacy Operations Manager opportunity is available in an inpatient setting spanning two campuses with an average daily patient census of 120–150. Reporting directly to the Director of Pharmacy, this role is integral in supporting pharmacy operations across the Downtown and Southwest locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficient, compliant, and safe pharmaceutical services
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Pharmacy to implement strategic and operational goals
• Manage employee scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage and balance across shifts
• Address and resolve operational issues promptly as they arise during the day-to-day workflow
• Support adherence to regulatory standards and institutional policies

Desired Experience/Qualifications:

• Proven background in pharmacy management within an inpatient healthcare setting
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams across different locations
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities to liaise effectively with staff and leadership
• Experience with employee scheduling and operational oversight
• Familiarity with healthcare systems of this scale and complexity is advantageous

This contract role is expected to last approximately 3 to 6 months, starting as soon as possible with some schedule flexibility.
