Pharmacy Manager - Barboursville, WV

An interim leadership role is available overseeing pharmacy operations within a 165-bed hospital specializing in behavioral health. This position is essential during a leadership transition, providing continuity and strategic direction for the pharmacy department until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is appointed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), ensuring compliance with all regulatory and hospital standards.
• Manage pharmacy staffing, including coordination of 1 full-time pharmacist, 4 per diem pharmacists, and 2.6 full-time equivalent pharmacy technicians.
• Oversee medication order entry and dispensing operations using HCS and Omnicell systems, with training provided.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care in a behavioral health setting.
• Provide on-call pharmacy leadership and support Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, plus weekend coverage as needed.
• Lead inventory management, medication delivery, and technician workflow systems.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in West Virginia.
• Experience working in hospital pharmacy settings.
• Familiarity with Omnicell automation systems preferred.
• Strong leadership and administrative skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a behavioral health environment.
• Commitment to maintaining a business casual dress code.

• This role is located in the Barboursville/Huntington, WV area at a hospital with a licensed bed capacity of 165 and an average daily census of 130.
