Position Overview:
The Manager of Regional Pharmacy will oversee daily pharmacy operations for assigned locations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and efficient delivery of pharmacy services. Collaborating closely with the Director of Pharmacy, this role is key in developing policies, managing budgets, and leading quality assurance efforts. Participation in interdisciplinary committees and fostering strong relationships with medical and hospital staff are essential to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and implementing hospital pharmacy procedures and policies
- Collaborate with system pharmacy leadership on operational planning, budgeting, and problem-solving initiatives
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with medical staff and hospital departments
- Support enhancement of pharmacy information systems and inventory control processes
- Participate in various committees including Pharmacy & Therapeutics, Safety, Medication Safety, and Nursing/Pharmacy collaboration
- Manage human resources functions such as hiring, performance evaluations, staff development, and engagement
- Monitor productivity, financial performance, and patient outcomes to meet established targets
- Fulfill all pharmacy management duties along with additional assignments as necessary
Qualifications & Experience:
- PharmD degree from an accredited college or university
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in Health-System Pharmacy Administration or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory or management experience in a pharmacy setting
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License (required)
