Retail Supervising Pharmacy Manager | Berwick, Pennsylvania

An established retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead their pharmacy team in Hazleton, PA. This full-time, direct-hire position offers the opportunity to manage day-to-day pharmacy operations within a fast-paced retail setting, focusing on both clinical service delivery and business growth.

Location: Hazleton, PA
Schedule: Variable shifts including:

• 10-hour shifts (9 am – 7 pm)
• 11-hour shifts (9 am – 8 pm)
• 12-hour shifts (8 am – 8 pm or 9 am – 9 pm)
  Hours: Approximately 69 hours bi-weekly
  Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a collaborative relationship with the store operations team and communicate departmental and company strategies to pharmacy staff.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all prescriptions by performing Drug Utilization Review and final quality assurance in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Manage pharmacy profitability and growth through clinical programs including immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
• Oversee inventory management by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceuticals to meet demand while maximizing profits.
• Align department performance objectives to key measurable metrics, focusing on operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provide excellent customer service, resolving issues and counseling customers on healthcare matters.
• Supervise, train, coach, and discipline pharmacy associates and support staff.
• Maintain proper security and cleanliness of the pharmacy environment.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and utilize reference materials for prescription verification and issue resolution.
• Prioritize and ensure timely completion of pharmacy tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license
• Current Pennsylvania Immunization license
